Harrison County establishes Sexual Assault Response Team under state code
The court approved forming a Sexual Assault Response Team with representatives from law enforcement, the district attorney's office, victim services, health providers and county staff to comply with Local Government Code Chapter 351.

Commissioners approved the establishment of a local Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) pursuant to Local Government Code Chapter 351. Named members include representatives from the Sheriff's Office, Marshall Police Department, the District Attorney's office, the Martin House, Women's Center organizations, Community Health Corp and county staff; commissioners acknowledged the county was late in forming the team but supported the launch.
