Mayor Justin Green updated the council on the Phase 3 South Main corridor project and associated waterline work, saying contractor Copper Ridge has continued to advance the project despite encountering rock at the Tucker intersection. "Welcome to Salem. Welcome to Washington County," the mayor quipped when describing the rock issue; he said crews have worked through it and progress is now steadier.
