Pipestone County commissioners on April 8 appointed Lisa Braun to serve as interim county assessor after the outgoing assessor notified the county she would step down effective April 10, 2025. County staff said Lisa holds an AMA accreditation as a Minnesota appraiser and the board will advertise the permanent position while the interim appointment lasts up to the 90-day statutory window for appointing a replacement.
