At the Jan. 5 meeting, Linda Galas-Merten, representing Strong Towns North Plains, urged the council to convene a stakeholder working group to update the city's zoning and development code. She said current codes are outdated and contain contradictions and recommended the working committee include a council member, the assistant city planner, a planning commission member, business representatives and a resident to ensure diverse perspectives.
