HBISD bond projects: new elementary openings and repurposed facilities move forward
District project manager reported completed bond projects (Faloo Center, Debbie Williams Activity Center), adaptive reuse of an old 24-hour fitness for pool and gymnastics, and multiple elementary school openings phased through late 2026–2028.

Josh Piner provided details on bond-funded construction and conversions across the district, noting several completed projects and ongoing phased work. "We completed this in May 2025," he said of the Debbie Williams Activity Center conversion; other projects (Faloo Center, junior-high administration building) are finished and in use. Piner discussed upcoming openings (Midway Park and Wilshire Elementary) and showcased building renderings and schedules that keep the district on a multi-year cadence of phased openings.
