Michael Feday of the Department of Sanitary Sewer Services told council the legislation would increase aggregate purchase limits for three frequent vendors — to ensure pumps, controls and emergency tanking services are available for pump stations. He said the goal is to have the necessary pumps and controls on hand and to maintain emergency response capability at pump stations.
