During the public-comment portion of the Aug. 17 meeting, Chairman Jim Sherrod introduced remarks from District Attorney Tripp Fitzner, who requested the Board's participation in accepting grant funds for the District Attorney's Office and said a resolution authorizing acceptance would be prepared. Commissioners agreed to consider the resolution at their September 2026 meeting to allow time for preparation.
