Board forwards three elementary school name options to community vote
Following a committee review of about 200 submissions, the board selected three name options—Freedom, Frontier and Kingsbury Meadows—and approved sending that short list to the community for an online vote and student mascot selection.

The school-naming committee narrowed roughly 200 initial submissions to six finalists and recommended three names to present to the community. Trustees agreed to send Freedom, Frontier and Kingsbury Meadows to a public vote; the board motion to put those three names to the community passed on a voice vote. Staff said once a name is chosen, elementary students will vote on a mascot from committee-provided options.
