Mayor Matt Travis Stovall opened the Oct. 1 meeting and read two proclamations for the community. "Therefore, I, Travis Stovall, Mayor of Gresham, do hereby proclaim October 6th through 12th 2024 as Fire Prevention Week throughout the city," he said, urging residents to ensure working smoke alarms and practice escape plans.
