Senate counsel Ethan Samsel asked the committee to approve integration of multiple standalone amendments to the same code sections so the final published code reflects the legislature’s intent. He said the committee follows statute and a committee policy (referred to as policy 2000) that permits integration only when amendments are standalone and non-conflicting.
