The commission reviewed proposals to reduce administrative burdens that prevent rural and under‑resourced school divisions from accessing state food grant funds. A representative recommended simplifying narrative reporting, scaling monitoring requirements to award size, and prepopulating data the Department of Education already holds so small schools are not repeatedly asked for the same information. "Really, reducing that administrative tax on educators," the presenter said.
