Commissioners debated local steps to address incoming data‑center proposals after several counties nearby limited data‑center size or added restrictions. Commissioner Macron urged a temporary moratorium "until we can craft a policy to to to get to where we wanna go," proposing a one‑year moratorium so staff and the commission can evaluate impacts on water, power and noise.
