Council reviewed two bids to install fire hydrants and accepted the lower bid recommended by staff. Utilities staff reported that one bid came back at about $20,097 while the lower contractor's excavating portion was approximately $13,600; a council member moved to accept Yoder's bid and the motion carried by voice vote. Chair urged the contractor to complete installation promptly and said he wanted the hydrants in the ground by the 16th if possible.
