Downtown salon permit approved conditionally after building-code questions

A representative for the proposed salon at 122 North Washington presented floor plans showing multiple treatment rooms and apartments above. Commissioners and the building inspector raised several code questions related to parking, sidewalk obstruction, ADA-compliant restrooms, plumbing, fire separation and whether sprinklers or a two-hour firewall would be required because of the mixed-use arrangement.
