Council raises concerns about clerk/treasurer workload and contract hours

A Council member told the board he had concerns about payments and hours billed to the clerk/treasurer function and requested an executive session to review the contract terms. He said the contract limits hours and a $5,000 monthly cap had been referenced and that year-to-date payouts seemed high compared with the annual salary for the position. "I think our contract help me to have a limit of number of hours and $5,000 per month so far was paid out this year... $14,124 in less than 3 months," the Council member said, urging review.
