Council backs town drone purchase after department presentation

The presenter said two initial quotes were for $30,000 (three-year term) and $60,000 (five-year term) from a U.S. vendor, then described a third, lower vendor quote and told the council the prosecutor’s office pledged $1,500 toward the purchase. "They initially gave me 2 quotes, 1 of which was for $30,000 for the course of 3 years, and the 2nd was for $60,000 for the course of 5 years," the presenter said while summarizing vendor pricing and capability differences.
