The council instructed staff to obtain estimates for backup pumps at two lift stations to ensure redundancy for the townsewer collection system. Chair said, "Call Sue and get an estimate on a pump for over there and 1 for over there so we got a backup for each 1," charging the staff member to secure quotes and evaluate repairs versus replacement. Members described recent pump failures caused by rags and debris and discussed improved protections to reduce frequent pull-outs.
