Staff and council discussed a multi-year plan to replace aging fire hydrants across town. Staff said they identified roughly 15–21 hydrants that should be replaced and gave a rough per-unit cost example: "We're about $4,000, and then the valve in front of it was supposed to 800... it'd be right at 5,000," a utilities staff member said, referencing parts and typical in-ground valve costs.
