Board hears update on statewide facilities inventory and potential PlanCon-like replacement

A director told the board the state is compiling a facilities inventory covering about 500 school districts and suggested the commonwealth may be considering a replacement for PlanCon, the former PDE program that subsidized building renovations and new construction. "That was a total program PDE had that helped districts subsidized renovation of building or building of buildings...it didn't exist for the last 15 years, so it sounds like they're trying to come up with a replacement," the chair said during discussion.
