Karnes County commissioners reviewed responses to an IDIQ roadway construction solicitation and authorized contingent awards to the top‑ranked firms for turnkey roadway construction and drainage. Wayne Gizler, the county representative on the solicitation, reported rankings with BRM Construction first, ABN Construction second, CK Newberry third, and J. Carol Weaver fourth; SD Rees was the lone respondent for drainage work and was recommended for award.
