Zoning Administrator Colby Park told the Juab County Planning Commission on Aug. 19, 2026, that the County Commissioners have imposed a temporary moratorium on conditional use permits to address scattered industrial and commercial development proceeding under broad "industry" conditional uses. Park suggested the county adopt clearer, use-by-use standards for data centers, industrial parks, warehousing and distinctions between light and heavy industry so applicants, staff and neighbors know where uses are appropriate.
