The Jenkins County Board of Commissioners on March 10 tabled consideration of a proposed renewal with Allgreen Services for municipal solid waste collection and dumpster cleanup after the company submitted higher rates. Administrator Grady Saxon said the current contract charges $3.50 per cubic yard plus $4,000 per month for dumpster cleanup and that the county's current bill is $27,900 per month. Allgreen's proposal would raise the per-CY charge to $4.75 and the monthly cleanup fee to $5,000.
