Board affirms five-member Jenkins County Hospital Authority, will consider expansion later
The Board unanimously approved a resolution ratifying the Hospital Authority as a five-member board after the authority asked for formal affirmation; County Attorney Kendall Gross recommended affirming five members now and possibly adding trustees later.

The Jenkins County Board of Commissioners unanimously ratified a resolution April 14 affirming the Jenkins County Hospital Authority as a five-member board. County Attorney Kendall Gross told the board the Hospital Authority had requested the Board of Commissioners approve the five-member configuration after the authority was reconstituted following the county's reacquisition of the hospital.
