County staff (S18, Elizabeth) asked the board to ratify the county manager's approval to submit a grant application to the North Carolina Association of Chiefs of Police to acquire a consolidated software system for the sheriff's office to support employee health, training and performance modules. Staff said the grant requires no local match and would be reimbursement‑based if awarded.
