Elgin outlines detours and school access during County Line Road closure

Public Works Director Michael Gonzalez provided specific routing and access guidance for residents during the Elgin Forward construction. He said County Line Road is closed from Doc's Country Store/US 290 up to just south of Naidake Elementary School but that teachers, staff and students will still be able to access the Naidake lot and turn around. "So for teachers and staff uh kids getting to Naidig Elementary, you'll still be able to access that parking lot and turn around," Gonzalez said, and added that local residents on Kennedy Street will retain nightly access even if trenches are present because crews will plate or backfill openings.
