Nicole Hinton, executive director of the Modoc County Children and Families Commission (1st 5 Modoc), and Tom Sanders, director of social services, briefed the board on recent Child Abuse Prevention Council (CAPC) activities and funded prevention grants. Hinton said the county facilitated CAPC events in April and awarded $20,000 in prevention grants to three local agencies to support outreach and programming for children and families.
