The Modoc County Board authorized the hiring of one correctional officer at range 2-16, step B, with a listed monthly pay of $3,557. Chester Robertson, speaking for administration, said the candidate had prior deputy experience and the county is bringing that person back as a correctional officer at a step that reflects that experience.
