The full story

Foothills Partners told the Inyo County Board of Supervisors on June 30 that it plans to redevelop the vacant Kmart property at 910 North Main Street in Bishop as "Bishop Commons," a modular, infill workforce housing project with roughly 104 studio and one-bedroom units built under a single large shed roof and separate retail/restaurant outparcels. The company said the project is intended to provide naturally affordable, long-term rentals for local workers and to be delivered on an accelerated schedule using factory-prefab units delivered and fitted on site.
