After line-by-line review, staff removed an outdated local calculation in favor of coordination with the CCMA industrial waste order, clarified notice and inspection language, and the commission voted to recommend the revised ordinance to City Council.

Hank, a city staff member, walked commissioners through a revised draft of a proposed wastewater ordinance and said the changes addressed concerns raised at the July 21 meeting. He said the draft removes local duplicate definitions for BOD and suspended solids and instead references definitions in the CCMA industrial waste order to avoid conflicting standards.
