Drexel Heights board approves routine items, adopts CDBG resolution and flags workers’ comp uncertainty
The Drexel Heights Fire District board met March 27, approved minutes and financial reports, adopted Resolution 2026-01 to apply for a Pima County CDBG Family Safety Grant, and discussed FY2027 budget uncertainty after its workers’ compensation carrier said it will stop writing policies in Arizona effective July 1, 2026.

Board Chair Gary Bynum called the Drexel Heights Fire District Governing Board to order at 9:00 a.m. March 27. With a full complement of five board members present, the board approved the minutes of its Jan. 23, 2026 regular meeting and later approved the checks-issued listings and monthly financial reports for the periods ending Jan. 31 and Feb. 28, 2026; both motions passed 5-0.
