Planning staff outlines TSP outreach, Safe Routes grant and upcoming development activity

Planning staff told the council the Transportation System Plan project will hold its first public outreach event on June 25 at 5 p.m. during Music in the Pines and asked that council representation attend the project advisory committee meeting the following Wednesday. Staff said the county, as lead applicant, secured a Safe Routes to Schools technical assistance planning grant for the La Pine area; the grant will assess infrastructure within a two-mile radius of schools to scope future construction funding from ODOT.
