Conservation staff asks board to back TAP grant as Prairie Land Trail nears completion
Conservation board staff reported 16 of 21 miles of the Prairie Land Trail are complete and asked the board for general support to file a TAP grant to refurbish two bridges and pursue a follow-up grant that would require a local match if awarded.

Conservation board staff updated the Cerro Gordo County board on the Prairie Land Trail, saying the county has "completed, uh, 16 of the 21 miles across the county." The presentation recapped the trail’s development since about 2012 and noted recent connections to Mason City and Clear Lake produced through a Destination Iowa joint grant.
