District leaders told the board they finalized a checklist for evaluating generative-AI tools, weighing educational fit, COPPA/FERPA compliance and alignment with classroom goals. Officials said the district will set permissions so that AI tools are available only on designated desktops for the particular computer-science or AP classes where use is appropriate.
