The Board began the meeting with three short presentations. County staff and a Humane Society representative introduced "Kewasa," the adoptable dog of the month, describing his temperament, training and a $50 adoption fee; the shelter listed partner benefits including a free wellness exam with Desert Veterinary Group and a grooming discount.
