Selectboard adopts standardized building-permit fee schedule

The Selectboard on Aug. 31 adopted a new fee schedule for building permits, standardizing rates across dwelling types and many accessory structures. The schedule recorded by the minutes sets $0.30 per square foot for new dwellings and commercial work, $0.20 per square foot for garages and sheds, and $0.10 per square foot for decks, patios and similar surfaces; solar panels, retaining walls, cement pads, fixed generators and inground pools were listed with flat fees of $30 where noted.
