Council certifies small local match, requests county support for Hazleton transit funds
Hazleton passed two resolutions certifying a $1,581 local match for Section 1514 PTCA funds and requesting Luzerne County provide a local match for a Section 1513 operating allocation after Pennsylvania DOT raised the award to $3,109,474.

Hazleton City Council unanimously approved Resolution 2026-37 to certify a $1,581 local match for Section 1514 discretionary transit funds for fiscal year 2025/2026. Council member Colombo presented the resolution and Attorney Logsdon explained it "certifies the amount of Section 1514 discretionary funds for transit purposes."
