County declares old vehicles surplus, approves Purple Wave auction
Franklin County staff asked the board to declare a collection of nonrunning and damaged vehicles surplus to clear yard space; commissioners approved declaring the items surplus and placing them for auction on Purple Wave, including an additional Ford pickup, van and Dodge Durango from the maintenance department.

County maintenance supervisor Jeff told the board the county yard has "quite a collection of old non-running damaged equipment" and asked that listed items plus three additional vehicles—an old Ford pickup, a van and a Dodge Durango—be declared surplus and placed up for auction. Jeff said the intent is to clear space in the yard while the county continues routine asset cleanups.
