Infrastructure panel recommends $51,000 study to evaluate remodeling Clinton County public safety facility

The committee voted to recommend to the full board a $51,000 study to produce a concept floor plan, facility condition assessment, phasing scenarios and construction cost estimates to compare remodeling-and-addition options with a new-build estimate.

County staff and consultants proposed an expanded study to produce a conceptual floor plan, a facility conditions assessment and construction cost estimates to determine what could be reused in a remodel-and-addition scenario and what would need replacement. Staff said the study is meant to give a "far more accurate cost estimate for the remodel option" than the prior square-footage heuristic.
