Harpswell workshop maps mandatory ADU changes under new state laws

Harpswell officials met in a joint workshop to begin revising local land-use rules to comply with recent state housing legislation. A housing committee member said the draft separates mandatory from optional changes and noted, "this document is really awesome because it splits the changes into required changes and optional changes." The group expects a revised draft from consultant Northstar on Oct. 5 and an additional round in November.
