On Jan. 13 the Kenedy City Council approved several procurement authorizations intended to position the city for external grant funding. The council authorized issuance of RFPs/RFQs for U.S. Economic Development Administration Disaster Supplemental Funding and related programs under the American Relief Act of 2025; it also approved an RFP for administrative services for the State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program (SLCGP) and an RFP for the Water Supply Infrastructure Grant (WSIG).
