Select Board votes to abate small negative balances
The Select Board voted 5–0 to abate a set of minor negative balances in the town ledger, a routine housekeeping action the clerk said would correct double-entry errors and rebates that are not due until January.

The Select Board voted unanimously to abate several small negative balances at its Dec. 19 budget meeting. Moderator (S2) introduced the item as the first order of business, and the motion passed by voice vote: "5 in favor, none opposed to abate these small amounts," Moderator (S2) said.
