The board unanimously approved the GISD Texas Incentive Allotment (TIA) Handbook and Spending Plan for 2026–2027. Presented by Dana Dudenhoeffer, the TIA program — established through House Bill 3 — provides financial incentives to recognize and retain highly effective teachers, with allotments determined by teacher designations and campus factors.
