Clinton Transit reports ridership growth and launches 'BlueGo' micro‑transit pilot

Clinton Transit told the Bath Charter Township board its Blue Bus ridership climbed and Bath Township riders rose 30% year‑over‑year; the agency previewed a June launch of a micro‑transit pilot called BlueGo and a new maintenance facility to be finished in August.

Melissa Shutt, executive director of Clinton Transit, told the Bath Charter Township Board of Trustees that ridership has climbed while expenses rose more slowly, and that the agency is expanding services. "Our ridership increased at 7% whereas our expenses only increased at 3%," she said, attributing the gains to a service culture focused on finding solutions for riders.
