West Rusk CCISD honors marching band after UIL State championship
The West Rusk County Consolidated ISD board recognized the high school marching band for earning 1st place at the UIL State Marching Band competition; the band director presented UIL gold medals to board members and thanked district leadership for support.

The West Rusk County Consolidated Independent School District Board of Trustees on Dec. 15 formally recognized the West Rusk High School Marching Band for winning first place in the UIL State Marching Band competition. Superintendent Lawrence Coleman introduced the recognition during the board's regular meeting and praised the students' and staff’s accomplishment.
