Las Animas County DHS flags food insecurity as SNAP work rules tighten

Director Michael Aragon told commissioners that SNAP and Medicaid work requirements are creating needs the county cannot yet meet, as LACDHS distributes roughly $26,000 with SCCOG for local food assistance and reported running out of most food items at the prior distribution.
