Missy Harris, director of the Lincoln County Library System, told the Board that "They are facing a $400,000 funding gap." She said the library system serves six communities and provides computers, job-application help and safe spaces for families; last year reserves were used to cover the shortfall and those reserves are now depleted. Harris asked the commissioners to "add $200,000 on to the amount that they have been cut back to" to avoid reducing staff hours and program offerings.
