WSIPP outlines outcome-focused second report to evaluate RNP and LEAD effectiveness

The Washington State Institute for Public Policy told CSRSAC its forthcoming report will move from descriptive fidelity work to outcome evaluations focusing on recidivism, disparities, and implementation recommendations; data approvals (IRB/data-owner) remain pending.

Travis, representing the Washington State Institute for Public Policy (WSIPP), briefed CSRSAC on what he described as a shift from the first descriptive assessment toward a more outcomes-focused second report. The first report identified barriers to implementation across sites, including limited buy-in in some jurisdictions, accountability concerns among law enforcement, staffing and retention difficulties, and broader local resource shortages (housing, treatment, transportation).
