Board authorizes administration to notify Jose Rios of proposed mid-contract termination
Following an executive session under Texas Government Code, trustees voted unanimously to propose mid-contract termination of Jose Rios' term contract and authorized administration to provide required notice under the Texas Education Code.

The board moved into executive session under Texas Government Code sections 551.074 and 551.082 to consider an administrative recommendation regarding Jose Rios' term contract. After returning to open session, Dr. Payne moved to propose a mid-contract termination of Jose Rios' term contract and to authorize the administration to provide the required notice under Texas Education Code chapter 21; the motion was seconded and approved 7-0.
