The Hughes County Board of Commissioners approved Resolution No. 2026-06 on Feb. 17, 2026, authorizing a replat of Lot 1R in Lariat Ridge Subdivision in the SE1/4 of Section 18, Township 112 North, Range 80 West. The replat was presented by Casey Cowan on behalf of property owners Lee and Colleen McCurrin and Paul M & Loretta Cowan Family Land Ltd. The change was described as intended to better match long-standing use and to improve access to Lot 1 (current access is approximately a 1,000-foot easement).
