Committee begins drafting comprehensive Vernon County zoning ordinance, will use neighboring counties as templates

The committee started work on a full, county-wide zoning ordinance and discussed which neighboring counties' ordinances would serve as useful starting points. Members singled out Richland and Grant—and mentioned La Crosse—as examples with useful structure and sections on appeals and board-of-adjustment processes. "I kind of like how Richland's is laid out," one member said when describing the sample materials.
